Love this product. I love that this is NZ made and most of all pet friendly. I have used this via different methods on most of my plants including monsteras, syngoniums, philodendron, epipremnum etc. I like using this for seedlings/fresh cuttings, I leave them sitting in the mix for a few hours; then pour the excess of the top once potted. I also like using it as a spray on the foilage for an extra boost. As well as the traditional watering. I have never had any concerns about using this on my more expensive/rare plants either - win win.

If you are not convinced then 'The Chemical Composition and Biological Properties of Coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) (2009) is well worth a read. It is a no brainer to use this product.

It works Magic!!!!! I had this cutting that had been sitting in water for like ages and never seemed to gonna grow any roots then I added groconut then BOOM it just couldn't stop growing! Before using it I was a bit dubious but honestly it's the best thing I've ever get my hands on! Now I use it all the time with my cuttings and it speeds up the rooting process and the roots grow healthier and stronger ❤ recommend to every plant lovers out there.

I really have noticed a change after using this. My orchid's flowers seem to be lasting longer, and I'm thrilled that it's non-toxic and I can use it on my veggies. My winter veggies have never looked happier.Highly recommend.

This stuff is to plants like honey is to a bee. I had a Syngonium wendlandii cutting which has dropped two leaves and was turning yellow. Put it in groconut for a week to two wee and its just pushed out a new leaf. Very stoked considering it was quite an expensive plant that got saved just by putting it in this mixture. Also great to spritz over all our other plants for general happiness.

This is like steroids for my plants!! I've had wonderful results, with my seemingly dormant Monstera standleyana and pothos all coming to life with amazing variegation. I'm thrilled.

Money well spent! I will never propagate without Groconut again, it has exceeded all expectations. Plants are rooting 80% faster compared to not using anything at all, and stubborn cuttings that had been doing nothing for 4 weeks have been putting out roots within 2 days after a soak in Groconut. My Hoyas & Turtles especially have just absolutely taken off after being watered with this too Love love love it!

amino acid content in different cocount water powders

Is coconut water a fertilizer?

Coconut water contains over 15 essential micro and macronutrients, however the ratios of N-P-K’s (macronutrients) aren’t high enough to be considered a “fertilizer”. Consider it more like seaweed tonic: Use it alone for seedlings & young plants to stimulate growth, or use it together with fertilizer for established plants to increase nutrient uptake for healthier root systems and bigger, healthier produce.

N-P-K Ratios Explained:

The N-P-K ratio represents the volume percentage of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) in the product. As an illustration, a 16-16-16 fertilizer contains 16% nitrogen, 16% phosphorus, and 16% potassium.

Is coconut water a plant growth hormone?

Yes, fresh coconut water from young green coconuts is packed full of natural growth hormones, like auxin, cytokinin, gibberellins and more. These hormones act as messengers that tell plants to grow bigger and faster.

Plant Growth Hormones Explained:

Plants make their own growth hormones that travel throughout the plant. These hormones act as messengers: For example, a leaf can send a message to the end of a stem, telling it to make flowers.

Can I use fresh coconut water on my plants?

If you’re thinking about using coconut water fresh from a young green coconut, the answer is Yes! Click here to read about the advised ratios. The benefits include enhanced plant growth and development, as well as being an environmentally-friendly alternative to synthetic plant growth hormones.

Coconut Water Explained:

Coconut water, sometimes called coconut juice, is the clear liquid found inside young coconuts from the coconut palm tree. As the coconut germinates this liquid provides growth hormones, nutrients and energy to help the seed break through the tough coconut shell.

Can I use any coconut water on my plants?

If, like us, you don’t have coconuts growing locally, you might wonder about using bottled coconut water or coconut water powders.

Bottled and powdered coconut water is generally manufactured for human consumption (and not for plant growth) so it must get pasteurized at high heat to make it safe for us to drink. The problem is that these high temperatures destroy the plant growth hormones and breaks down the amino acids that are responsible for initiating big plant growth. This means that these products are not useful for plant growth.
