We’re a family-run operation driven by sustainable alternatives to synthetic products. To us, sustainability is not a marketing claim, but a primary value embedded into our core purpose.
True suitability is said to be held by three pillars - economic viability, environmental protection and social equity. Here at Groconut we're always looking improve for the good of our planet - here’s how:
ECONOMIC VIABILITY: Coconut water has been considered a by-product of the coconut due to high demand for the flesh, oil and husks. By using better methods of collecting the water and educating growers about the powerful benefits, we're helping to create a more equal demand for the whole fruit as well as reducing the need for synthetic chemicals in the agricultural industry.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION: Chemical fertilisers are directly responsible for global death of hundreds of thousands of fish and marine mammals by creating oceanic dead-zones (read more about them here). Using Groconut means less fertiliser is required, so you're actively helping our environment by making environmentally-conscious decisions in your plant care routines. Synthetic plant growth hormones have also been proven to be hazardous to our health and our environment, so replacing them with Groconut means you get the same great results without harming our environment.
SOCIAL EQUITY: At Groconut HQ, you'll find everyday people using the help of other everyday people to ensure our users are provided with the best-quality product available. As a Kiwi-owned business, being Humble and Fair comes pretty naturally and there's no room for social injustice here. Having these core values, (along with others like Transparency, Commitment to Customers, Integrity and Education) helps us to support our vision and shape the culture of Groconut as we grow.
